Food!
I may mention publishing a lot, and I will admit a weakness for playing and watching rugby (among other sports I would like to point out). But the one thing that really gets my juices going is the subject of feeding.
This correspondent has travelled East Africa, home of lovely Ugali and Nyama Choma, the “Dixie” states of the southern US, Europe and the Middle East. Give me a time machine and it will be used to flit between meal times at the heartiest Cajun eateries of Memphis; the cosiest location for Brunswick Stew in Georgia; wherever is serving the largest bowl of Moules Frites in northern France; my favourite cafe in Bourj Hamoud, Beirut (I couldn’t begin to remember the name) – supplier of finest Fatet hoummous (spelling varies), and pretty much anywhere in Brittany or rural Spain that boasts a competent hand in the kitchen. Oh, and I forgot I love my mum’s cooking too.
